* A 10.4mm RIMFIRE SPORTERISED MODEL 1878 VETTERLI BOLT ACTION SHARPSHOOTERS RIFLE, serial no. 16129, CIRCA 1878,
with 23 1/2in. barrel with block and blade front-sight and quadrant rear-sight, the action stamped "WAFFEN FABRIK / BERN / 16129", and fitted with double set triggers, the action has been modified to single shot by the fitting of a shaped wooden block, and the removal of the magazine, iron mounted full walnut stock, the forend cut down, with an old leather sling. The barrel and action dirty and to a blue / brown patina.. The rifle cut-down in the distant past for sporting purposes.
